“Once you choose hope, anything’s possible.” — Christopher Reeve
Hello, and welcome. Thank you for taking this important and courageous step toward seeking support, whether for yourself, a loved one, or someone in your care. The first step is often the hardest, and acknowledging it is a true testament to your resilience.
I’m Claudia Abban, a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist with extensive experience working with children, teens, young adults, adults, and families. I strive to create a warm, supportive environment where you feel comfortable exploring life’s challenges, discovering strengths, and building confidence. Together, we’ll work on navigating and overcoming the stressors you’re facing, whether they’re related to anxiety, depression, self-worth, trauma, or major life transitions.
In our sessions, I integrate various therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Strengths-Based practices. Therapy is never “one size fits all,” so I adapt my approach to each person’s unique journey, ensuring that our work together feels relevant and meaningful to you. I specialize in areas like trauma, anxiety, self-esteem, grief, and family dynamics, helping clients build resilience and cultivate a positive self-image.
I’m committed to providing inclusive, culturally sensitive care that honors each individual’s background and experiences. My goal is to empower you with the tools and confidence to face life’s challenges both inside and outside our sessions. I view the therapeutic process as a partnership, where we work together to identify your strengths, navigate obstacles, and create a path forward that aligns with your values and goals.
No matter where you are in your journey, I hope you recognize the strength it’s taken to reach this point. If you choose to work with me, know that I’ll be here not only as your therapist but also as an advocate and supporter, guiding you toward positive change and self-empowerment.
